Admin panel and inclusivity analytics

Most tools count points. Pointd Pal's admin panel shows who isn't getting recognized, so you can fix it before it shows up in an exit interview.

The admin panel is there to answer one question: is recognition reaching the people doing quiet, essential work, or landing on the same few names?

Inclusivity health

The Inclusivity page measures how fairly recognition is shared, over the date range you pick:

  • How evenly it’s spread, as a single score and as a chart of who received how much.
  • The share going to the most-recognized 10% of the team.
  • How many people were recognized at all, and how many new joiners were recognized in their first 30 days.
  • Reciprocity: how much thanks goes both ways between people.
  • Flow between teams: a heatmap of recognition from one Slack user group to another, and a chart of which channels it happens in, to see where work crosses boundaries and where it doesn’t.

Some recognition tools show where recognition is happening. Pointd Pal also measures how evenly it’s shared, and who it’s missing.

People who haven’t been recognized lately

The People page lists everyone who hasn’t been recognized recently, starting with people never recognized and then those waiting longest, so a manager can notice before the person feels invisible. Open anyone to see what they’ve given and received. From the same page an admin can export one person’s data or erase it.

Teams and team leads

Admins can say who works together and who leads them, on the Teams page or by importing a CSV file such as an HR export. These are your own teams, separate from channels and chat-platform groups.

  • Team filters: the Inclusivity page and the People page’s not-recognized list can show one team, and a chart shows how recognition flows between teams. There’s no league table of teams.
  • My team: each lead can sign in to a read-only page that shows when the people on their team were last recognized, and the team’s rates beside the workspace’s. No scores, points or reasons.
  • Team-lead nudges: if an admin turns them on, each lead gets a private message once a week or once a month naming the people on their team nobody has recognized lately: at most five names, never anyone who opted out, never in a channel. Leads can stop them from the message, their home view or a chat command.

Everything else in the panel

  • Dashboard: recognitions, participation, givers and people recognized for the period, recognition and values over time, this month’s active users, and the most recognized and most generous people.
  • Recognitions: search every recognition by words in the reason, person, channel, value or date, and redact a reason that shouldn’t have been written.
  • Settings and values: the point name and emoji, the allowance, reaction giving, the digest, celebrations, the time zone, the offer to add a reason, thanks suggestions, and the optional features that are off by default.
  • Admins: who can open the panel and why, and access for anyone else an admin chooses.
  • Rewards and redemptions: the catalog, and the queue of requests to approve, reject and mark fulfilled.
  • Celebrations: turn them on, pick the channel, and import birthdays and start dates from a CSV file. Imported dates are only posted for people who opt in.
  • Exports: recognitions and people as CSV files that open in Excel, Google Sheets or Numbers.
  • Audit log: every admin change and redemption decision, with who made it and when.
  • Billing: the plan, this month’s active users, a monthly or yearly upgrade, and Stripe’s portal for cards and invoices.
  • Data: delete everything Pointd Pal stores about the workspace.

Who can sign in

Admins sign in with Slack. Slack workspace admins and owners get in, and their admin status is checked again at every sign-in. An admin can also give access to anyone else in the workspace from Settings, Admins, and take it back later. Team leads can sign in too, and see only their My team page. Sessions last 12 hours.

On each plan

Free workspaces see the last 90 days of analytics, and Pro keeps the full history. CSV exports, rewards, celebrations, and teams and team leads are part of Pro. If a Free workspace goes over 10 active users, the analytics pause until it upgrades or its active users fall back under the limit for a full month; recognition keeps working throughout.

Try it with your team

Free for up to 10 active people a month. Recognition never stops working, even over the limit.

Put recognition on the TV in the office or the lobby. It celebrates how widely thanks reaches people, not only who gets the most.
