Terms of service
The agreement between your organization and us when you install and use Pointd Pal.
Last updated: October 13, 2026
1. The agreement
These terms are between Tuatha Tech LLC ("we", "us") and the organization that installs Pointd Pal in its Slack workspace ("you"). Whoever installs Pointd Pal or upgrades to a paid plan confirms they can accept these terms for that organization. Our privacy policy and, where it applies, our Data Processing Addendum are part of these terms.
2. The service
Pointd Pal is a recognition app for Slack with an admin panel. We may improve and change it over time. We'll tell admins ahead of time about changes that remove a feature you're paying for.
3. Your responsibilities
- Your workspace admins decide who can use Pointd Pal and how it's configured.
- You're responsible for activity in your workspace and for keeping admin access to people you trust.
- You make sure you're allowed to use your members' data with Pointd Pal, including telling them it's in use, as your own policies and local law require.
4. Acceptable use
Don't use Pointd Pal to:
- harass, threaten or discriminate against anyone, or post unlawful content in reasons or rewards;
- break the law or Slack's terms;
- probe, overload or attack the service, or try to reach data that isn't yours;
- copy, resell or build a competing product from the service.
5. Plans and billing
- Free covers up to 10 monthly active users. Above that, recognition in Slack keeps working and paid features stay locked until you upgrade.
- Pro is billed through Stripe, monthly or yearly. The price is shown before you subscribe.
- Monthly is charged for each monthly active user: a member who gave or received at least one recognition during the calendar month.
- Yearly is paid up front for a number of seats. If a month's active users go over your seats, the seats rise to match and the added seats are charged right away, prorated to the end of your year. Seats don't go down during the year; at renewal they reset to your active users at that time.
- You can cancel at any time from the billing portal. Pro continues to the end of the current month, or the current year for yearly plans, and nothing further is charged after that.
- Fees don't include taxes, which you're responsible for where they apply.
- Fees already paid are not refunded, except where the law requires it.
- We'll give at least 30 days' notice before changing prices.
6. Your data
Your workspace's data stays yours. You give us permission to process it only to run, secure and support Pointd Pal for you, as our privacy policy describes. You can export it and delete it at any time from the admin panel. When you uninstall, it's deleted after 30 days.
7. Feedback
If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without owing you anything.
8. Suspension and ending the agreement
- You can stop at any time by uninstalling Pointd Pal or deleting your workspace's data.
- We may suspend access if you break these terms, don't pay, or put the service or others at risk. Where we can, we'll warn you first and give you a chance to fix it.
- We may end the service with at least 60 days' notice, and you'll be able to export your data first.
9. Disclaimers
We work hard to keep Pointd Pal running and correct, but it's provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. Pointd Pal depends on Slack, and we're not responsible for Slack's availability.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, neither of us is liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or data, and each side's total liability under these terms is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. These limits don't apply to your payment obligations or to anything the law doesn't allow to be limited.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For changes that matter, we'll tell workspace admins at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use Pointd Pal after that means you accept them.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Minnesota, and both of us agree to their jurisdiction.
